All athletes have that Sport Beast that wants to unleash when they are on that court. This Sport Beast has an “Alter Ego” that makes you unstoppable, more aggressive, and stress free when competing. Many professionals have this “Alter Ego” to feel fearless, reduce doubt, and increase levels of energy. You are probably wondering what your “Alter Ego’s” name is now. Take a minute to think about it and write it down on your play book.
Now that you have a name your “Alter Ego”, it is time to think of the characteristics of your Beast. What type of attitude do they have, what type of qualities do they display, what gets them “in the zone” before a game? Write down your favorite phrases that your Sport Beast will say.
Examples:
- “I will bounce back from mistakes”.
- “I own this court”.
- “I always try my hardest”.
- “No one can scare me”.
- “The only opinion that matters is mine”.
I can already tell, your Sport Beast is someone I wouldn’t want to mess with! They are confident, well mannered, and ready for anything! With your Sport Beast being so strong and aggressive, ask them to do a favor. Tell them to find your inner wimp and give them a name. Once your Sport Beast named your inner wimp, have them silence their voice. The less you hear their voice, the stronger your Sport Beast will get.
